In a blink of an eye

On the 364th day, I am going to wrap my 2010 up with things I've done!

In 2010, I have...

- bought a house with Andrew and it was a huge turning point in our relationship,

- flew to Spore & went to Universal Studios with my parents and Andrew,

- purchased another life, my American cocker spaniel called Tyler,
- gave him away after a few months which was one of the most difficult decisions I had to make :')

- went to HK and visited Disneyland!,

- was given keys to our new house. super eggcited!,

- Elaine came to KL for uni,

- finished my Arts Degree and I miss uni life already,

- bought a car, thank you, mommy and daddy! LOVE.

- flew back to Brunei just to attend my best friend's wedding,

- stepped into working life as an intern at Nuffnang,

- was surprised to come home to a romantic candlelight dinner by Andrew,

- grew my hair the longest ever!

So yeah, I guess those are a few highlights of my 2010 and I have to say, 2010 has matured me in so many ways and I couldn't have been through this whirlwind without Andrew by my side.

I am very much looking forward to 2011 with me graduating and working full time. I dread it, but at the same time, I can't wait to earn money to feed myself. It's going to be difficult, but as a consolation, I know this journey ahead is going to be all worth it.

So here's to you, 2010, you have made my year amazing and I can't wait to see what's in store for me in 2011! Here's a picture of Louie and Tyler to end this post,

oh, and us too! Teehee!

Flawed Perfection

Make up has been part of my daily routine ever since I turned 18. It started with a little black eyeliner on my lower eyelid, followed by the upper eyelids.. then foundation was then introduced to me. So yeah, you get the picture! Call it peer pressure or what not, but I enjoy applying make up as it heightens my confidence and also, I look so much better, admit it! :P

So, I shall introduce the products I use!

1. Dr. G's bb cream with Sasa's foundation brush.

This is my first bb cream and it works perfectly. I have an oily combination skin and my skin doesn't usually do well with anything that has SPF but this bb cream has proved me wrong! It actually smoothens up my skin and my face doesn't go oily as fast as I thought it would be. On top of it all, the SPF works like magic that my face is actually a wee bit fairer than my body.

The foundation brush makes the bb cream application easy peasy! Just a few criss cross small strokes, the bb cream will even out by itself.

2. Bobbi Brown's gel eyeliner with Maybelline's eyeliner brush.

This gel eyeliner was introduced by Pei Yi and it is the best eyeliner that I've used. It actually stays and doesn't smudge even after 12 hours of application without any touch ups. I've been using it since the early 2009 and there's still so much left despite my daily application.

I use Maybelline's eyeliner brush to apply the gel eyeliner. Since I've spent a bomb on this gel eyeliner, I became stingy with the brush cause Bobbi Brown's eyeliner brush is actually more expensive than the gel eyeliner itself and it works just fine.

3. Body Shop's eyebrow pencil with Manicare's eyebrow brush.

I like to redefine my eyebrow so it stands out well with my eyeliner application.

4. Loreal's collagen's mascara.

This mascara actually lengthens my eyelash twice it's length. Works like magic!

5. Body Shop's blusher with Body Shop's blusher brush.

6. Body Shop's lipstick.

That's it! You must be wondering whether I am some kinda freak with the amount of make up I use but trust me, with experience, it only takes 10 minutes to apply! Enjoy. :)

And 24 marks eternity more.

Dear Andrew,

Being together with you wasn't easy but at the same time, it wasn't very tough. On our 730th day as a couple, at times, I still feel like I have just been with you for 2 months, all giggly and innocent.

So what do I love about you?
  • I love how you shower me with kisses every single time before you leave for work. Though I might be sleeping, I always can feel you stroking my hair and telling me that you are about to go to work.
  • I love how you are down to earth. Every time I feel like I am not reliving my youth as adventurous as I should be, you always find ways to pull me back to earth and console me. Stability = good future, I geddit!
  • I love how you try to listen to my rants about how difficult my school work is or how dramatic my friends are. I have always know that the 'uh huh' face you give me means that you tolerate me just cause I'm your girlfriend.
  • I love how you have mould yourself to complement my weird food cravings for the past two years as I know, you would always prefer chicken rice any day. Which also explains your bulging tummy. :)
  • I love how you play with the dogs and teaching them tricks. It assures me that you are going to be a good father in the future.
  • I love how you 'try' to make the bed when I am not home. Mind you, it's still super messy and it drives me mad!
  • I love it when you play cooking with me.. You always seem to keen and interested to learn cooking tips from me though I am like.. a bad cook!
  • I love how you try to surprise me by doing housework when I'm not home and then boast about it all day.
  • I love how I lay in your arms every night before we go to bed and talk about sweet nothings. :)
A lot has changed since we became a couple. There are so many little things that we have to look out for our future. You have given me a hope for eternity and a bucketful of security and I cannot ask for more. I love you best explains how I feel for you, and I cannot wait for us to paint the many tomorrows we have, together. Happy two years, my love. It has always been you.

How long has it been?

I was doing my usual daily routine a few days ago and I stumbled on Wan Yen's website. As I was chuckling about her blog posts, I glanced through the navigation bar and I saw my name,

And it had hit to me that it has been 9 months since I stopped blogging. And for this, I have to blame the advancement of technology, aka, Twitter.

I have to admit, Twitter has basically owned my social networking ability.

  • Wake up in the morning, see Twitter updates.
  • Bored in class, see Twitter updates every 10 minutes.
  • Toilet break, load Twitter updates.
  • Before bedtime, see Twitter updates.
Yeah, I have no life so STFU. :)

So yeah, the reason why I created this blog is solely for my random self. For the times that I want to voice out or share my experiences, and what not. You get the gist.

And this time, there won't be any commitment so don't expect any frequent updates from me.

Bah! (:
